Objective

Andi was looking for someone on Fiverr that could create a post template in Elementor for his blog. He had recently redesigned his posts exclusively using Elementor, but he wanted a template that could be reused so that he wouldn’t have to design each post each time. He also wanted two new posts to be live by the next week. After agreeing on the scope and timeframe of the project, I began building the template!

Solution & Skills

This was one of my first few experiences using Elementor, but I absolutely loved it. I found it easy to learn, but very in-depth in what it can do and handle. I enjoyed both the visual drag and drop features and the custom CSS and HTML options. While I’ve used the free version of Elementor before, I have not had the chance to explore the Pro version. This project gave me that experience. I find the Pro version to be much better, in my opinion.

Elementor Pro gave me the ability to explore and use a lot of cool features, like creating the post template, and also creating Call To Action (CTA) templates that can be reused on multiple posts.

Once the template satisfied all of Andi’s needs, such as looking professional and sleek and working on all screen sizes, I wrote up a How-To document explaining how to use the template along with the Gutenberg editor.

Andi was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Despite the fact that we were in two very different time zones, we were able to communicate well and in depth. Another quirky part about this project was that the website was built in German. Thanks to Google Translate, I was still able to understand the purpose of the site!
