The Neutral Edit – WordPress Blog

Liz was looking for someone on Fiverr to design her WordPress lifestyle blog to fit seamlessly with her current online branding. The blog “The Neutral Edit” focuses on lifestyle, fashion, home decor, motherhood, and more. Liz wanted the design to portray her goal of focusing on authenticity and building a supportive community where moms can find inspiration, connect with others, and feel empowered in their roles.

I designed the blog using Lucid Themes’ Essence theme, along with some custom designing using a child theme. Understanding how the theme worked was the most challenging part of the project, but once we had that figured out, creating the right pages, categories, post templates, and sign up forms was a breeze, especially with how helpful and responsive Liz was when I asked her for feedback and details.

The project involved integrating various elements of web development, including design, analytics, custom CSS, email sign-up integration, and research about Amazon’s affiliate program. Working with Liz was a great experience, and it was so much fun to design a modern, neutral, and trendy blog!
